GARRET BODINGTON    Golf Course Superintendent

I have been fortunate to be associated with Sebonack from the building of the course to hosting the US Women's Open Championship. After working at Bethpage Black in 2002 when we hosted the US Open Championship, I had other opportunities but I picked this one, not realizing it would be this great. The owner was a winner so I knew it would turn out to be a good project.

We have a great team here at Sebonack and work to make your internship a great learning experience at one of the premier facilities in the country.

NICK VENTURINO    Assistant Superintendent  (since 2004)

Over past fourteen years I have had the opportunity to work at some of the best golf courses in the country.  Being a part of two grow-ins and two major championships have provided me with an abundant amount of knowledge.  I take pride in my work and especially what Sebonack has become in such a short time of existence.  Growing up in Rhode Island and having the opportunity to do my internship at Bethpage Black in the summers of '01 and '02 was phenomenal.  I believe that those two summers evolved me both as a person and prepared me to become an assistant superintendent.

I am proud to be part of Sebonack Golf Club team and believe that an internship here is second to none.  With hard work, positive attitude and willingness to learn, a summer internship at Sebonack could be invaluable to your advancement in the golf industry. Come be a part of our team.

KURT CONYER    Assistant Superintendent  (since 2004)

My career began at my hometown course in Northern Michigan. After learning the basic 'ins and outs' of the industry, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in the business. I have had the pleasure to work at many great golf courses over the past 15 years.  My most recent clubs have been Wynstone Golf Club outside of Chicago, Nassau Country Club and Shinnecock Hills Golf Club on Long Island , leading to my current position at Sebonack.

Having been an intern at both Wynstone and Shinnecock Hills, I understand the value of a great internship position.  At Sebonack we take pride in teaching our interns valuable skills needed to thrive in this industry.  We take pride in preparing and maintaining a championship caliber club day in and day out, and instill that mentality in our interns to carry with them throughout their careers.

Situated in Southampton, NY, and neighboring the historic National Golf Links of America and Shinnecock Hills Golf Course, Sebonack has been carved out of land which seems to have been long-destined to become a golf course.

The visual impact of the water vistas all around the course competes for the golfer’s eye with the features. Meant to look as if manicured by time, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Doak have used the natural contours and features of the land to create a unique look. The result is that Sebonack looks quite different from its illustrious neighbors and provides a strong golfing challenge for players of all calibers.
